The artist collective Club Real has set up a branch of Organism Democracy at the Brücke-Museum. Under the theme „equal rights for all living beings’, plants, animals, fungi and microorganisms are recognised as employees and service providers of the museum.
To mark the occasion, all visitors are invited to play an active part in establishing The Work Council of Living Beings at the Brücke-Museum. Further information and the project leaflet are available at the ticket office.
In 1964, the artist Karl Schmidt-Rottluff initiated the establishment of a museum in his city of residence Berlin to honour the artists’ group Brücke. With a donation to the State of Berlin, he laid the foundation for its collection. Just three years later, on 15 September 1967, Brücke-Museum opened in a new building designed by Werner Düttmann in Berlin’s Dahlem district. …
